About Us Draft

The Urban Construction Craft Academy (UCCA), is a non‐profit organization providing Enhanced Transitional Jobs Demonstration (ETJD) programs which utilize:

  • skill development;
  • support services; and
  • mentorship in the construction industry to transition participants successfully into a global labor market.

The success of UCCA can be attributed to its Four Phases to Success where participants engage in training designed to lead to certification and entrepreneurship. The four phases are:

  1. Program Introduction;
  2. Mastery of Skills;
  3. Character Building Training & Leadership; and
  4. Placement & Success.

The Urban Construction Craft Academy’s enhanced jobs programs combine technology, personal growth, character building, and highly qualified
(state certified personnel) mentors from the construction industry, certified teachers, counselors and administrators, to provide hands‐on experiences for individuals looking to transition into the workforce. The ultimate goal of UCCA is to develop skilled tradesmen and women who can eventually become entrepreneurs in the local and global labor market.
